Hyundai Santa Fe to be launched in October
Stepping up the competition further for the SUV market in India, Korean car maker, Hyundai plans to launch the Santa Fe by October this year

With this launch, Hyundai is hoping to get third time lucky, as its first two SUV attempts failed miserably among the Indian consumers. While Hyundai?s first SUV launch, Terracan left without much trace, the Tuscon which was launched about four years back is still trying to make inroads in India.

Though the company refused to divulge too many details regarding the price of the Santa Fe, the seven-seater would come as a Complete Build Unit (CBU) in the domestic circuit.

Hyundai might have done well in the budget hatchback segment with its models like the Santro and i10, it is yet to prove its mettle with the bigger cars. Even the newly launched Sonata has failed to generate much interest as customers are flocking towards rival models from Honda and Toyota.
